Fuel prices could hit an all time high of 300 shillings should the fight between Israel and Hamas continue. This is according to energy cabinet secretary Davis Chirchir who made an appearance before the national dialogue committee to explain what his ministry is doing top cushion Kenyans against high cost of living. During the session the government was faulted on the government to government deal that was set to lower the cost of fuel but the commodity continues to sky-rocket with the CS blaming other factors including the depreciating shilling against the dollar. This however comes even as international oil prices declined to usd 87.24 per barrel in november from usd 90.23 per barrel in october
