The Rural and Urban Private Hospitals Association of Kenya has announced the immediate suspension of the use of Social Health Authority (SHA) credit from its facilities. RUPHA says SHA has proved to be unsustainable and unreliable. The suspension comes after the government failed to address pertinent issues raised by RUPHA in it's two week notice that expired on sunday. RUPHA wants the government to settle over 10 billion shillings owed to the association's members and review some of the action taken by the ministry in the name of fighting graft.
