Communities residing along Kiambere dam urged to relocate following the rising water levels

Communities residing along Kiambere dam at the border of Embu and Kitui counties have been given a warning alert to move to higher grounds following the rising water levels owing to floods, occasioned by the heavy rains being witnessed in the country. Disclosing this was the national El Nino steering committee that further revealed that at least 120 people countrywide had died since the onset of the El Nino rains with Tana River, Garissa, Wajir, and Mandera counties listed as the worst-hit regions
