Raila: No 2027 deal, ODM may still field candidate

ODM leader Raila Odinga has opened up on the behind-the-scenes activities that he says forced him to make a deal with the Kenya Kwanza government to prevent the country from descending into chaos during the Gen-led protests in June last year, saying the military was on standby to take over. Speaking when he chaired an ODM parliamentary group meeting in Machakos County today, Odinga also dismissed claims that the party was not fielding a candidate in the 2027 presidential race.
