President William Ruto has ordered an investigation into why more than 3,000 registered KCSE candidates failed to sit last year’s national examinations. Ruto gave the directive during a briefing by education cabinet secretary Ezekiel Machogu before the release of the 2023 KCSE results in Eldoret earlier today. The Kenya National Examinations Council has canceled the results of 4 candidates involved in impersonation and withheld the results of more than 4,000 candidates suspected to have engaged in examination irregularities pending the completion of investigations.
