Education Cabinet Secretary Ezekiel Machogu has warned Junior Secondary School heads against charging parents extra levies aimed at constructing classes for Grade 8 learners. He says the government plans to construct 15,000 classrooms this year. In a statement on the transition of grade 6 and 7 learners the CS has directed that all the 1.2 million KPSEA candidates to transit to grade 7 in the junior secondary schools hosted by their primary schools.
