Police in Kisii have launched investigations into the cause of a fire that gutted down a dormitory at Nyakoiba Mixed Secondary School on Friday morning. According to the area county commissioner Tom Anjere, the 5a.m inferno led to the loss of property worth over Ksh 10m belonging to students. The multi-agency team has called on the school management and stakeholders across the county to prioritise investing on fire extinguishers to avert such huge losses. The unfortunate fire broke out when students were out for their morning preps, no injuries were reported.
