DP Gachagua fails to make good his threat of filing a petition

Deputy president Rigathi Gachagua failed to make good his threats of filing a petition for the removal of Judge Esther Maina on corruption grounds in proving that the executive was not attacking the judiciary without evidence. Gachagua now says he has paved the way for talks between President William Ruto and the Judiciary aiming to iron out issues between the two arms of government. It's unclear whether the DP will completely set aside his intentions to remove Justice Esther Maina as a judge.
