President William Ruto has slammed absentee lawmakers that he says are not in touch with their electorate. Speaking during a retreat with KENYA KWANZA MPs, President Ruto accused the lawmakers of derailing government bills by missing house sittings. President Ruto called on the lawmakers to expedite passage of the affordable housing bill. The three-day joint retreat between Kenya Kwanza maps and the executive is also aimed at streamlining the government agenda as well as strategise on pending pieces of legislation from various ministries. Other issues to be discussed includes a resolution by the Kenya Kwanza coalition to back Azimio leader Raila Odinga's bid for au chairmanship.
