The Sports Personality of the Year Awards has received a major financial boost with six partners coming on board for the 20th edition of the awards to be celebrated on the 1st of March. Among the partners unveiled on Tuesday are NSSF, Communications Authority, Kenya Pipeline, Unclaimed Assets Authority and the Kenya Academy of Sports. The event was to be held on the 23rd of February but was postponed in honour of the late marathon record holder Kelvin Kiptum and the legendary Henry Rono who passed away nine days ago. The schools category is also back in the awards, with a different panel handling the nominations.
