Patients can now access services in almost 8,000 healthcare facilities through their National Hospital Insurance Fund cover. Speaking during the launch of the NHIF benefits package 2022/2024, health CS Mutahi Kagwe revealed that NHIF members can walk in and out without paying a dime in 80% of the facilities which constitute public hospitals. however, patients who choose to visit private facilities will have to top-up payments.
