The African Union has dedicated the year 2024 as the year of education in a bid to aid in the adaptation of the competency-based education systems in East Africa. In an event, themed ‘Educating an African fit for the 21st century’. The curriculum’s aim is to nurture learner’s potential and mainstream values as well as impact them with life skills that will help them navigate the complexities of the 21st century.
