President William Ruto says the world faces a triple planetary crisis of climate change, nature and biodiversity loss, and pollution and plastic waste. Addressing the Sixth Session of the United Nations Environment Assembly (UNEA-6) High-level Segment and National Statements in Nairobi, the head of state said these monumental challenges can only be comprehensively tackled through an effective multilateral approach. President Ruto at the same time called for international collaboration to promote life cycles approaches to waste management noting that it is vital for sustaining the blue economy and its ecosystems.
