IEBC Urges Residents to Register as Iten Records No New Voters

The ongoing nationwide voter registration exercise has kicked off to a slow start in Elgeyo Marakwet, with IEBC officials reporting alarmingly low numbers. In Iten Town, not a single new voter has been registered since the exercise began earlier today. Assistant Voter Registration Officer Robert Tarus said they expect to register at least 1,404 new voters and urged residents to seize the opportunity to prepare for the 2027 General Election.
