New data from the Kenya National Bureau of Statistics (KNBS) shows that more Kenyans used the internet and made phone calls between April and June 2025. According to the Quarterly Gross Domestic Product report released on Tuesday, September 30, 2025, the country’s information and communication sector grew by 6.0 per cent in the second quarter of 2025, compared to 6.7 per cent during the same period in 2024. Total domestic mobile voice traffic surged by 17.3 per cent, reaching 29.2 billion minutes compared to 24.9 billion minutes a year earlier.
