Authorities have commenced the release of the Shakahola tragedy victims bodies to families for interment. The bodies were identified through DNA tests before the families were given a go head to collect them. Human rights organizations have urged for swift action in the process and to assist these families in burying their loved ones. They have called on Kenyans who suspect their loved ones may have been victims of the tragedy to come forward for DNA testing to identify their kin.
