The national government and county government of Kilifi have brokered a truce that will see residents benefit from minerals in the county after a Chinese investor was given a three year license for a Multi- billion prospects for minerals in the area after years of intervention. Kilifi residents had previously opposed the move over fears of displacement without compensation.
