The Kenya Union Of Clinical Officers (KUCO) has declared its intention to escalate the ongoing strike, with plans to withdraw essential services starting next Monday. This development is expected to deepen the healthcare crisis in the country. KUCO announced that all clinical officers serving as anaestheticians and other critical care specialists will cease their duties beginning Monday. KUCO chairperson Peterson Wachira, said the decision has been informed by the government's perceived lack of goodwill in addressing the ongoing strike.
