Wakenya watapata afueni kwa kiasi baada ya kampuni ya Kenya Power kupunguza gharama ya nguvu za umeme. Hii ikimaanisha kuwa, bili za umeme zitapungua kwa takriban asilimia 14 kuanzia mwezi huu Kwenye taarifa, Kampuni hiyo imesema hatua hii imesababishwa na kuimarika kwa shilingi ya Kenya na kupungua kwa gharama ya mafuta yanayotarajiwa kuzalisha umeme. Hii sasa ikimaanisha kuwa wakenya wanaotumia chini ya uniti 30 za umeme watalipa shilingi 629 mwezi huu, ikilinganishwa na shilingi 729 za mwezi jana. Wale wanaotumia zaidi ya uniti 31 hadi 100 za umeme sasa watapata afueni ya asilimia 11.2, huku wanaotumia zaidi ya uniti mia moja wakilipa gharama ya chini kwa asilimia 9.7
