There is no deal yet between Kenya Medical Pharmacists and Dentist Union and their employer the government, for a second day after the court ordered both parties to convene a meeting and unlock the stand-off that led to a strike by healthcare workers. The union met Ministry of health officials and the Council of governors separately following a decision to split issues touching on the national and county governments by the whole-of-the-nation approach committee. The two meetings will inform a discussion with the committee on the return to work formula, but until then KMPDU officials maintain that the strike is still on even though they appreciate the goodwill following the court's order.
