The family of the late Chief of Defense Forces General Francis Ogolla, who died in a helicopter crash in the Sindar area in Elgeyo Marakwet county along with nine other military personnel, has announced that General Ogola will be buried on Sunday, April 21st at his home in Siaya county by his wishes. The burial will follow a memorial service at his local church in Nduru. According to a press statement, General Ogolla had specified in his will that his funeral should occur within 72 hours of his passing. The family described General Ogolla as a very generous individual who deeply cared about the concerns of fellow villagers.
