Kenya Forest Research Institute is planning to engage stakeholders to ensure the relevance of forestry research and natural resources in a move aimed at enhancing socio-economic development. Speaking at the institutes' headquarters in Muguga, KEFRI Acting Director Dr. Jane Njuguna said the eco-regional consultative meeting held annually is aimed at prioritizing the allocation of funds and work plans for research and development. She said KEFRI in partnership with other government agencies have launched a mobile jaza forest conservation exercise in line with the President's directive of planting 15 billion trees.
