The National Chairman and Founder of The Former Public and Private Sector employees SACCO, Ben Akwara has urged staff to join SACCOS or self- help groups as a way of empowering themselves and avoiding depression upon retirement. Speaking during the FOPPS SACCO Annual General Meeting at ACK Guest House in Amagoro, Busia County, Akwara noted that they came together to invest and socialize. The SACCO has introduced an empowerment module through saving and loans to members at affordable interest rates besides a benevolent fund.
