Ethiopia has pledged to use the Port of Lamu for importation and export of goods following successful shipment of 60,000 metric tons of fertilizer from Morocco through the facility. Under the deal, Ethiopia intends to use the Port of Lamu as a transit gateway where products will then be transported via road to Ethiopia.
