Kenyans suffering the effects of heavy rains

A section of residents in Mt Kenya region are suffering from the effects of prolonged rains in the country that have resulted in deaths and destruction of property in the country. Speaking after donating assorted food items to affected families at Kiandutu slums in Thika, by the Kenya Red Cross in collaboration with members of Young Muslim Association ,Esther Wambui the Red Cross representative in Mt Kenya region says that despite the rains having subsided, over 22,000 households in the region have been severely affected by floods. Fatuma Abdi Ali from Young Muslim Association has urged Kenyans to give a helping hand to Kenyans affected by floods.
