A delegation team from Eswatini popularly known as Swaziland has toured Murang’a county for benchmarking on devolution as it aspires to adopt a devolved system in its kingdom. The national government recommended Murang’a be used for the benchmarking citing the several programs that had been established. Skhumbuzo Dlamini who led the delegation said they are out to learn the best practices from the other African countries that have already embraced devolved systems. Governor Irungu Kang’ata said devolution has helped improve service delivery to the people adding that with prudent utilization of resources and management skills, more benefits can be realized.
