Thirdway Alliance Kenya has moved to Court once again to block the planned deployment of police officers to Haiti. The petitioners have cited the government’s alleged Contempt of Court, accusing the State of blatantly disregarding a January High Court order declaring the deployment unconstitutional and illegal. Kenya, in July 2023, volunteered to lead the mission and deploy 1,000 troops to restore order to the troubled Caribbean nation that has been rocked by marauding criminal gangs.
