Leaders urge government for emergency funds to rebuild damaged schools

Five days after schools reopened across the country, over 2,000 students from Ngeya Primary School, one of the hardest hit by the Mai Mahiu tragedy, have yet to return to school. Meanwhile, in Tana River County, more than 3,000 students are stranded after floods affected over 16 schools.
