‘Muguka’ traders in Mombasa are counting losses

Muguka farmers in Embu County want the government to order a suspension of the executive order in Mombasa and Kilifi counties that imposed a ban on “muguka”. The farmers want the government to conduct a laboratory analysis of the crop disputing claims the crop is to blame for ruining the lives of many youths and families in the coastal region. And as Serfine Achieng’ puma now reports, many of the farmers say they face a bleak future as the ban affects their capability to fend for their families.
