As Kenyans mark Mental Illness Month, the Government has been urged to implement policies to address the challenges and mitigate the burden of Mental health problems and disorders. Speaking during a mentorship seminar to Catholic Men Association Leaders from Riara Parish, Dr, Joseph Karundu a Counselling Psychologist said that Kenya has over 1.9 million people who suffer from mental illnesses. Joseph Gathare added that Counselling was an indication of Mental Health which is common in men, with such initiatives will help reduce the number of people going to rehabilitation centers.
