Two years after Kenya’s independence in 1965 the Kenya Army formed the Engineers Brigade to support the military in defence of the country against external aggression and to aid civil authority in humanitarian or civic projects. Other than clear land mines they also undertook projects including construction of roads, bridges and schools. Warrant officer 2 Retired Rawson Tsuma served in the 10th and 12th Engineers brigade for 32 years. He had a sit-down with Ben Troy Njue at his home in Kaloleni, Kilifi county for this week’s edition of MILITARY TALES.
