UDA's Ahmed Hassan cleared by IEBC to contest Banissa MP seat

The United Democratic Alliance (UDA) parliamentary candidate for the Banissa Constituency by-election, Hon. Ahmed Maalim Hassan, has been officially cleared by the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) to contest in the upcoming polls. Hon. Ahmed Maalim was accompanied by Mandera Governor Mohamed Adan Khalif and Senator Ali Roba as he presented his nomination papers to the electoral body in Banissa. Following his clearance, the leaders later addressed a rally in Banissa town, where they called on residents to maintain peace and unity as the constituency heads to the November 27 by-election.
