The lawyer for the prime suspect in the Mukuru kwa Njenga dumpsite killings has opposed his detention saying the crimes his client was being investigated on were alien to him. Collins Jumaisi Khalusha who appeared before a Makadara Law Court did not take plea as the Directorate of Criminal Investigations Mohammed sort to detain him for 30 days to complete investigations. His lawyer John Maina Ndegwa while opposing his detention argued that his client had been tortured and subjected to in human treatment to confess to crimes which were alien to him and therefore it would be an injustice to remand him for a month.
