Researchers are spearheading initiatives in nature-based solutions, in a concerted effort to combat climate change and conserve biodiversity.The Director at the Institute for Climate Change and Adaptation Prof. Daniel Olago says nature-based solutions not only mitigate climate change and biodiversity loss but also enhance food and water security while promoting human well-being and resilient ecosystems. Speaking at a forum in Nairobi Prof. Olago says part of nature based solutions include reforestation ,restoring coastal wetlands, and switching to restorative agricultural practices, such as cover crop rotation, that support healthy soils.
