The Kenya National Commission on Human Rights, The Refugee Consortium of Kenya and the United Nations High Commission for Refugees want refugees who have been confined in camps for over three decades to reintegrate with the local host communities. In a project dubbed “Haki na Ushirikiano,” the stakeholders are seeking to build the capacity of police and community members to better understand the rights of the refugee community and therefore ease their stay in the country.
