Kenya Broadcasting Corporation will partner with Echo Network Africa and URAIA Trust to produce and air audio-visual podcasts for elected leaders including members of County Assemblies. The podcast will also help demystify women political leadership and encourage more women to vie for elective positions in the next general elections. Speaking during the launch in Nairobi, Echo Network executive director of Dr. Jennifer Riria said the move will help encourage women participation in active politics and move towards achieving the two thirds gender rule in the country. Kenya Broadcasting Corporation Chairman Tom Mshindi and Acting Managing Director Paul Macharia were present in the signing of the partnership.
