Wakati zoezi hili likiendelea mvua imeendelea kunyesha, wanatafuta manusura pamoja na miili ya watu waliokufa kwenye milima katika jimbo la Kerala nchini India, siku moja baada ya watu 165 kufa kutokana na maporomoko ya ardhi kufuatia mvua za masika.
Kufikia sasa karibu watu 1,000 wameokolewa kutoka kwenye vijiji vya milimani, na kwenye mashamba ya majani ya chai, katika mkoa wa Wayana na wengine 225 wakiwa hawajulikani walipo ripoti zimesema . Watu 166 wameripotiwa kufa na wengine 195 kujeruhiwa wakati televisheni ya ndani Asianet ikiripoti vifo 179.
Mvua kubwa kwenye jimbo la Kerala ambalo ni kivutio kikubwa zaidi cha watalii nchini India zilipelekea maporomoka ya ardhi Jumanne, na kusababisha matope pamoja na mawe kuanguka kuelekea sehemu za chini ambapo watu wengi walifunikwa na kufariki wakiwa wamelala.
