Wakulima hao wanasema kufanya hivyo kutawawezesha vijana kupata ajira.Walisifia hatua ya hivi majuzi ya kuongezwa kwa bei ya pamba kutoka shilingi 52 hadi shilingi 72 kwa kilo wakisema itawashawishi wakulima zaidi kukumbatia kilimo cha pamba. Wakiongozwa na David Kioko kutoka eneo la Ndalani, wakulima hao waliokusanyika katika kiwanda cha pamba cha Thika walitoa wito kwa serikali kuunga mkono uhuishaji wa sekta ya pamba kama sehemu ya kupiga jeki uchumi wa taifa hili.
