Residents of Kiambu County can now breathe a sigh of relief after the county’s Assembly amended the Controversial and punitive Land Rate Act that was passed into law during Former Governor William Kabogo’s tenure. The public had petitioned the Assembly to repeal the Bill claiming it was punitive and meant to burden them by taxing Freehold land.Wards Representatives led by the Leader of Majority Godfrey Muceke, urged the National Assembly to also do their due diligence and repeal the Act and review the laws that they passed in a bid to give Kenyans an Environment that they can enjoy.
