Idris Elba: 'I'm going to live in Africa to tell our stories' - BBC Africa
In an exclusive interview to the BBC's Thomas Naadi, the star of 'The Wire' and 'Luther' shares his plans to create a movie studio in Africa and to invest in the thriving film industry in the continent. The actor of Ghanaian and Sierra Leonean descent who has played Nelson Mandela on the big screen says that African culture ''has oftentimes been told back to Africans out from outsiders". The interview was granted when Idris Elba attended the Africa Cinema Summit, held in Accra, Ghana.
