103 people were arrested yesterday evening and 20 motorbikes were impounded in the Kapsaos and Brooke areas in Kericho county in connection with the recent demonstrations and destruction of property witnessed along the Kericho Nakuru Highway outside the EKATERA tea estate main office on Monday and Tuesday. The arrest came a few hours after the Rift Valley Regional Commander, Dr. Andi Hassan announced a crackdown on perpetrators of violence meted on the tea estates in Kericho and Bomet counties.
