Major Blow to Free Education as Allocation Drops to KSh 58.9 Billion

The free primary and secondary education has suffered a significant blow as its allocation has been reduced from 71 billion in 2024\2025 budget to 58.9 billion this financial year. This is despite the education sector receiving the lion’s share of the 4.2 trillion budget. Key sub-sectors in the education docket have witnessed a massive reduction in allocation.
