15 Police officers accused of abducting two Indian nationals and their taxi driver in 2022 will now spend their Christmas holiday behind bars at the Kiambu Remand Prison. This after the Director of Public Prosecution was given the green light to re-arrest the officers who had been out on bond. While issuing the orders, trial Magistrate Boaz Ombewa endorsed the decision of the Kiambu High Court saying there was nothing irregular about how their release on bond was suspended, as alleged by the officers’ counsel.
