Two suspects will remain in custody after Environment and Land Court in Malindi, Kilifi County granted local police 20 days to complete their probe into an alleged land-grabbing syndicate by people pretending to be genuine squatters.Nelson Fondo and Mohamed Hamisi appearing before Resident Magistrate Grace Muteti. They were arrested last week following concerns raised by the Kilifi County Security Committee that a criminal gang had been invading, subdividing and selling private lands in the county. The case will be mentioned on November 12, 2024.
