    Girls outperformed boys in the just-released Kenya Junior School Education Assessment, emerging top in 10 out of the 12 disciplines that were assessed. Education Cabinet Secretary Julius Ogamba, who announced the release of the results at the Kenya National Examination Council headquarters, said the assessment, which is the first of its kind under the Competency-Based Curriculum, will guide the transition of the more than 1.13 million learners into senior school pathways.
