With the rise of covid-19 deaths in schools, Baringo leaders have called upon the government to reconsider full opening up of schools next year January. Speaking during the burial of the late Harun Kipkiror in Poi, Baringo North, the leaders said it was worrying that teachers and students are losing their lives to the deadly disease and that the opening of school should wait until the spread of the virus subsides. Kenya Union for Post Primary Education Teachers’ (KUPPET) national secretary tertiary Sammy Chelanga appealed to the government to provide face masks to learners since most parents are unable to provide for their kids.
