3% of employees in formal sector laid off

3% of employees from the formal private sector have lost their jobs in the wake of sweeping tax reforms imposed by the Kenya Kwanza government. While addressing members of the press in Nairobi earlier today, the Federation of Kenya employers painted a grim picture of impending job cuts, declaring that 40% of employers are contemplating giving notices of redundancy.
