4 suspected bandits shot dead in Kirima, Laikipia County

4 bandits were shot dead yesterday in Kirima area Laikipia County, in a gunfight between a multi-agency team of security officers and bandits. The four together with others who fled the onslaught were allegedly raiding cattle from Mugie Ranch when the security officers followed and intercepted them at Posta area in relit village. The security officers recovered four firearms including a g3 rifle, an m-16 assault rifle, an ak-47 and 4-double pouches of an ak-47 rifle. The bodies of the 4 were taken to Nyahururu County and referral hospital morgue awaiting identification and postmortem examination, as the hunt for the other raiders who fled begins.
