Over 5,000 households in Busia County are now benefiting from newly implemented water projects. The initiatives undertaken in Isongo and Bukhakhala villages in Marachi West Ward, as well as Busende village in Matayos South Ward, have greatly addressed years of water shortage that often worsens during dry seasons. Residents say the water projects have not only improved health and overall quality of life but also helped them save lots of money spent on purchasing water for domestic use and livestock.
