It is a sigh of relief for residents in Umande ward, Nyeri County after the commissioning of a five kilometre tarmac road to be constructed at a cost of 250 million shillings and expected to be completed within a year.The Mwireri- Maili sita road network is funded by National Government Constituency Development Fund and constructed by Kenya Rural Roads Authority. Other areas to be upgraded to Bitumen Standard included Jua Kali, Kairunga, Muramati, Mugumo and Tetu road network.
